[It's morning when a sopping wet and shivering Izumo first wanders into the village, having fallen in the river. As confused and pissed as she is about showing up here--and the whole "suddenly having wings" thing--the first thing on her mind is changing out of the dress she woke up in and into something dry. She's still very much on her guard, though, and definitely doesn't plan on approaching anyone for help.
It doesn't take long for her to realize that people are taking things out of the shops without paying for them, so she starts to search through them for something to wear. The only way to find out if she can get away with just taking something like everyone else is to try, she supposes.]

So, these journals...I'd like some information about them. Can anyone give me a better explanation for how they work than "it's magic"? [She's not really doubting that they are, but she wants details.] Surely someone has to know something.
I'd also like to know anything you can tell me about the creatures that live here.

Well, he was tired and it was very late. So he's curled up on the floor of the shop with the cotton new feather pants on, a shirt sort of half-on, drooling a little, and snuggled into a stack of warmer clothes right in Izumo's path.
It's probably quite the sight]

She stops in front of him, shaking her head. She could bend down and shake him awake...but she's just going to yell at him instead.]

...But given the new feather dress is a sundress it's possible his view is nearing something sort of indecent. He blinks. Wait, that can't be right.
He's also still half-asleep, so give him a bit. Rubbing his eyes]
